Okay I am going to go ahead and sum some things up for you.

Answer to your "My" problem. Inside your server files you have a folder titled as "Mysql" Open that folder and you will see another folder titled "Data" Open this folder now. If you do not see a folder titled as "My" then you need to get one. Meaning your database file "My" is not in your data folder.

Answer to your "My.ini". Go to your start menu, Left click on "My computer" then you will need to go into your C drive. It is titled "Local Disk (C: ). Once you are open your C drive you will see a folder titled "Windows" open this folder now. Once you are in your Windows folder scroll down until you see a word document that says "My" delete it. After you delete it if you have Mysql up then restart it. You should have a green light. Then try connecting to your database.

Your connection information should look something like this.

Connection name : "Your connection name here"

Host name/ Ip address : "Your ip here"
(note: you may have to use localhost or 127.0.0.1 in order to connect until you add the ip to your users. etc.)

Port : 3306 (Do not change this port leave it as it is)

User name : "Your user name"

Password : "Your password here"

Check "Save password" then test your connection. You should be able to connect. Now if you have anymore issues do not post anymore topics just simply send me a message and we will see if we can get everything sorted out. I will help you if you help everyone else by not bugging people and making so many topics. Hopefully I was of some use.
