bypass wrong version number

I backpatched Co to use Sv, at patch 4337 and used temp. cotobo to bypass patch. Now I get "wrong version number" when logging in, anyone know how to bypass this or is there some other way to backpatching Co and having it work. The way i did it was reinstall it and manually patched it to 4337.

Open up your Conquer folder and look for Version.dat then open that up and change it to the same version as ur client for example u would put 4337 since u patched to 4337.

When I patched it to 4337, It automatically putted 4337 in version.dat

Then i think u need to patch it to the newest patch or try 4349 cuz thats the one im using...and im using scriptvessel 1.10 and it works =)

the one posted on gmzplanet is anastasias (if its posted by **M** ).

Editing your version.dat will only bypass autopatch. You are running the old exe. And we dont (publically) know how to change the version number within the exe. What I will say is that its a simple hex edit.

version.dat is only for autopatching. The client itself has a stored value for sending it to the server to verify the version. I haven't looked into how it's processed client side but I'm sure it's not just a hexable value. If you need a way to use older clients with CO, my proxy can help you.
