auto patch

hey can some1 please tell me how to turn autopatch off ^^

1)Go to ur Conquer folder and looks for ur Autopatch.dat change whatever the ip is to 127.0.0.1
2)Use ur firewall block autopatch.dat
Both ways can stop it from autopatching

<hr>Append on Jun 10 2007, 07:15<hr> lol it still autopatches if i put 127.0.0.1 there and when it says autopatch is not workign it just gives me manual patch,retry and exit

127.0.0.1 is loopback address, instead of it connecting to the actual autopatch server it connects to ur own computer so it won't autopatch

i forgot to mention this but dont forget to make a back up =)

Thats wierd it works for me...
Did u let it autopatch to the new patches 4350-4351 and then try to redownload the old patches?
If u did that then it wont work u have to stop it from autopatching before u install the new patches...

lol i had to reinstall co and it autopatched to 4351 >.> sorta fixed it now though ^^
