Question about trainers

my anti virus thingie avast 5 said my Trainer had or was a trojan, but the trainer works and everything but my question is

is my trainer infected or is my avast just acting this way cause its some kind of hacking tool ?

Well, it could be both, (depends on how many files the trainer has), try running it through an online scanner.

These two are both free, and if they show nothing, then your anti-virus is messy.
