Which seems stupid as hell seeing as magic dmg calcs are not exactly difficult..

Seperate +mdef and %mdef, make sure %mdef is capped at 90 pct and excess is places into + mdef. Run them through in the correct order taking into account reborns/bless/torts/nix and you're good to go...

Is my memory failing me cause I really don't remember magic dmg being hard to calculate in ANY sense of the word.

the issue is the items them selfs ... if noticed on one of the sources that if you upgraded from 110 armor to 120 armor the def would no longer be taking in place you need to make sure all the items are setup server side for def and attack and everything.. it couldnt be this at all though its just a guess of mine from my own experience.

It's really not that hard to set up items... I admit I didn't code magic side of calcs in my source yet but reading itemtype is NOT a complicated matter.

The problem in lotf and some other sources is when you remove or upgrade and item it's not removing the old stats before adding new ones... or not changing them at all.

The obvious quick fix to this without doing things properly is to reset all character stats and then calculate all item slots (so def = 0, mdef = 0 pctmdef = 0 etc and then do a foreach item in equipment slot to calculate stats and then calculate gems)
