Sick of website with...

Alright, so i'm getting pretty sick and tired of website that are dull, and have those stupid xat chats.

1. I like chat boxes, just like everyone else.
2. But I HATE xat chats. it makes your site look disgusting and unoriginal and just strait up dull.
3. I understand that some people can't code any type of web coding like HTML/PHP and even java.

So what I was wondering, I don't want to spend a whole bunch of time on something that won't get used, cause maybe everyone likes xat, as sad as that sounds.

I was wondering, if I made a full php chat system (with mysql of course) with no advertisements or anything like that, free, and gave the ACTUAL source away in a download, and and easy 1,2,3 guide on how to install it to your website, would you actually use it?

Tell me why, or why you wouldn't use it on your site.

(This would be strictly made for conquer servers that have mysql databases, probably a source that is well used and a good account database.)

Here is what I could definitely make the chat do:
Make a full admin control panel with kick/ban system
Let people change the colors of their names and messages
Add smiley cartoons
Owner/Admin/Mod/Member system that is linked together with the account/character on the server.
EVERYTHING XAT CAN DO. (Without the, disgusting look.)


So, WHY would you use this over xat, and WHY WOULDN'T you use this over xat?

Awesome, only one person so far but, thats a good start. i'll start working on it tomorrow and hopefully come up with a stable release sometime really soon. Won't be perfected yet, but. I'll show everyone how good the first version is, and they'll come back for seconds. ha. I just get tired of going to every single website, and all of them have xat. -.-

Well, if thats gonna be something like xat but just more unique i'd love to see it and sugges to people who use xat in their web pages. Well atleast on those i am using. I love the idea tho, i have also thoughtwhy people use xat if they could use something their own, unless they cant develop anything.

kaka12, yeah. i mean people aren't very original, i've seen some top servers use xat, and it just doesn't make it... original. i guess. i've seen a server use irc, but irc isn't the safest place in the world to chat. people get your ip and, its all over.

irc servers like rizon mask IP's so your safe there.

xat is the most efficent chat system.

READ what he wrote, yes xat is a good chatbox but it makes your website look un original. Exact same reason I dont have an xat box...

Is not unorganized, u can make it transparent etc. so it fit in.

Is far the best chatbox u can get.

Do you even know what xat powers are?
Where u subscribe, gets name color, special smilies, effects, bans etc.

Anyways my point was that there is no free chats in flash wich is better.
And more simple to use.

I like xat, thats my opinion and so what who cares about the freaking chatbox on a server?

your right, who cares about the chat. But if thats the case, who cares about levels on a server, or + items. Orwhether they aresuper or not, or what they look like.

Im just wanting to create something you dont have to pay for to get your name to glow. Lol. It will be just as simple to add to your site, and wont have advertisements everywhere. Or for that matter, none at all. I can add 'smileys' and we can add effects. Nothing about xat makes it cool. Lol. You are paying for... Pixels.

I have never paid 1$ I had for like 100days subscribing.

So... you are "developing" a server, yet you can`t create a chatbox as good as (or better) than this xat thing or w/e. That`s enoguh for me to never play your server.

Come on, paying/doing surveys or w/e to get admin rights on your own chatbox, on your own website?
