Modify the D9 client

Before we can mess around with trying to make a proxy/middle man hack we need to modify the D9 client to connect to a loopback address. I have modified mine, but the game client overrides or ignores it. It would be helpful if anyone has older NINEDRAGONS.EXE from previous patch versions on D9, or from other servers that will actually run without erroring out with the D9 files. If you don't know quite what I am talking about, open NINEDRAGONS.EXE with your hex editor and go to offset 0x004d933c. This method works for most other versions of 9D, but on D9 it isn't. Any thoughts?

Tip: to bypass the launcher create a shortcut to NINEDRAGONS.EXE and edit the properties to add -U2TRZQ930QR3NC0Q9U03NDZ3XU on the end.

Sounds like its time for ome fucking Winhexin here!!! or am i wrong?

Winhex = change offline client offsets / index`s / Mob agro / how many mobs can follow.. skill animation shortcut. can do all this by winhex and it wont change i think,

Correct me if im wrong, btw Saweet ask Dekaron Mods, Dekaron = Winhex etc unpackers, packers. all usefull coders etc for make an 9d hack i guess. : )

D9 is protected by hooks, at game folder is a file called D9.sys this driver hook the game
and check if is deleted or modified, and if you delete this file, the client drop this file again

try avoid run this driver maybe works... but idk how to do it

if you open ice sword you can see d9.sys hooking some apis

maybe you can modify the driver or something

Saweet quick question: What's your goal? I mean are you trying to make offline 9d?
If you do then i think it's better to wait for next week, Gamescampus sayd they will be releasing 9dragons Germany(it has Korea content);)

Maybe I can patch the client in order not to load this driver. It doesn't seem that hard. I just don't have D9 and don't play it atm. All my efforts now point do 9D and not D9. But if there's interest I can try. Just someone send me the file so I can take a look inside. I don't promise anything however. I'm a programmer and not a "professional cracker".

you only need the executable? (without any other file)?

I think everything else is the same. Maybe that famous .sys file too. Don't know. Hope soon I'll dl the Thai version to check :) btw what side most of the ppl here play? we really can make a band together :)

Well, tried this exe - an exception is thrown for some pic in XP file. It's no prob, I'll just install the Thai version one day :P

P.S. Sorry for misunderstood - I'd no intention of starting the game but to unpack the executable and check for other protections :) GL all

Can you please teach on how to find this string (i think it will change with every update)?

Its a very useful tip --> faster startup

so.. offline 9d? i want it :P

Dont talk about offline 9d.. we talk about make hacks.. quest repeater, dupe, etc....
