Chatting problem

I recently installed CO on the pc in my room.

But whenever i write something, a random system message (friend logged in/out) or a random thing i wrote before comes after my message.


this is very annoying because people dont know where the end of my message is and sometimes it gets annoying.
once i had something like this:

'I dont know if you like that, but i dont' do normal [8:24]

between the quotes is what i wrote and after it was from a thing i previously wrote.

the messages come from the chat log (time displayed at the end like in the example above)
Clearing the chat log, deleting the files from my co folder doesnt work, it keeps copying messages wich i wrote before.

i dont have this problem on the pc downstairs wich is the same as the one here (same mods etc)

pc downstairs runs win XP
this pc (problem pc) runs win Vista.

is there any solution?

Sounds like a client issue. Maybe a next patch will fix it?

i heard more people with windows vista have this problem.

i am running it in win xp (sp 2) compatibility mode but still this problem.

anyone has a solution untill its patched?

i had conquer online before on this pc (when vista was on it already) but then my internet kept freezing up so i couldnt play.
so i know its possible to work on vista.

One guy in my guild has the same problem so I know what you're talking about. It's' pretty annoying but we can't figure it out, except to say that he's using vista also. :/

can u both please tell the video card used with vista+conquer?

since nvidia had the freeze problem and i think this might be the same problem.

yeah its cuz of vista...usually it puts wierd symbols before it puts something you've typed before...but i can mostly sort it out cuz i have a couple friends with vista...

but lately, if i type a short sentence, it changes the first couple letters into wierd characters and i dont even have vista...it only happens like once every couple days and i talk to friends all day...so yeah..

the first few letters changing:

when some1 with vista types, sometimes it places things on the following line ;)
so when you write something it will be your text through the glitch text of the vista user.
making your text unreadable.
