I've gotten this 5017 server base to work just fine, If you want to learn/develop your own things into your copy of this 5017 source, it's alot of fun.

I think he more meant that not knowing how to even open the project meant the source would be FAR beyond his understanding... I tend to agree.


Learn some coding before you ever try to make a pserver, I BEG you. Yes, you can learn quite well from sources BUT you should already know the basics before you start. Look up some C# or C++ coding tutorials online, try making some small programs, etc. Once you have a basic understanding, THEN try something like a co server.

Literally? Well you need Microsoft Visual C# (I recommend 2008-2010). Then open the 5017 project with the program and begin editing, etc.

Well you can use Microsoft Visual Ultimate.

use Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 i recommend this, because the 2010 version need much ram.

Tbh it doesn't matter what version you use 2008 - 2010...

If you have a decent PC / Laptop then either or will do.. Personally 2010 uses bugger all RAM on my laptop.
