Font Fix

I have found a font that works.. doesnt crash co... and is slightly easier on the eyes

In the INI folder edit the font to say SimSun 14

Not much but a hell of alot easier to read...

Now can someone make a working multi please :eek: ;)

OK i was told it didnt work so here i am going to explain how to do it easily.. takes just a few seconds and the only tool you need is notepad.

Open notepad>
File>Open (C:/program files/conquer 2/ini/font.ini)
It should say:
Courrier 14

Change it to say:
SimSum 14

click File>save
You are done.. below is a shot of the new font :) enjoy.

I dont have that font on my computer though so it wont work. what operating system are you using?

WinXP SP2, you can try
arial
tahoma
courier
centaur
centruy
calibri

yeah increasing doesnt cause any problems, i dont know how big your planning on going though :-p

Batang 14 Cambria 14 Consolas 14 Georgia 14 some other working fonts that i found. you can also change the font to w/e u want, i didnt go too crazy with it so i dont know how high or low u can go. i jsut tried 16 an 12. :D

How can I get that font ? So I can use it?

I will be uploading a font file when i am finished with my testing to get the old conquer font back but this will work in the meantime

Sorry i forgot to add instructions... its 4:30 in the morning so im really tired.. no sleep just so you all can get co with a decient font... lol i hope you are all grateful.. lol (+k would be nice)

Put this ttc file into the C:/Windows/Fonts Folder.. thats all.. nothing else.. scan the file if you want.. right now im too tired to care ROFL
