Recently in found on the net a new 3d instant messaging program called imvu.
in the case of signing up u get the choice to design ur own individual 3d avatar which moves and interacts with other ppl in a 3d room which is also fully customizable. a nice feature is ur own page which u get if u sign up there. this page looks a bit like myspace and is also fully customizable.
many ppl from the us and canada can be found there, but also many other spread all over the world.
