The new mabinogi

i know Ive been gone a long time but Ive been busy with school. Ive played mabinogi around once a week and the mods were becoming inactive more and more and now with the release of G12 they have stopped altogether if u wish to get new skills. i think a good think for fixing this is to create a new mod from scratch and thou im not good enough for that it might be nice if we can gather realistic ideas for those who can that way they know what players want, and what players don't want. so if u have some good ideas post them below.

it sounds like you are looking for mabi mods

i am not looking for more mods because i can make my own dll edits as necessary for my playing style but i was wondering what ideas others may have that could be possible with the current mabinogi:cool:

Show NPC equipment... <-- Tried to get that working, but failed
Show players equipment/journal with their option turned off <-- Almost got this working.

Would "Show players equipment/journal with their option turned off" be considered as gamebreaking?
10/26/2010 20:53 kotarou3#8
Nope. Why would it be?
10/27/2010 05:46 berk107#9
its not game-breaking so much as it breaks other peoples rights to privacy, such as u might know your neighbor has an microwave but u don't know what settings the microwave has as it might be a $200 microwave and he don't want u to know.:bandit: and this folks go against the terms of all company's and people alike.

And?
The point of modding/hacking as I see it is too;
1. Eliminate obstacles that infringe on your ability to play.
2. To remove restrictions and to overcome the play aspects that make the game difficult or frustrating.
3. To gain an unfair or unsolicited advantage over other players and game mechanics.
If not, why do it?
Who cares about privacy and your ability to hide things if the method for which you do so is not able to withstand attack? Obviously it isn't that valuable or the method would be at least somewhat secure.
