u should try first b4 asking..yes..its on navicat..
the image u show means its have something to do with password or i can say something wrong in username or password..its say using pass yes..so try to leave blank and test the connection..
10/20/2010 14:44 San-Goku#9
i have leave if black..& its fine..then i try to put pw..it dont work
10/20/2010 14:50 PraDevil[ELITE]#10
if u can connect to it using the blank password so leave it blank..then click on manage user..find root@localhost click on edit user..there will have the option to set up your password again then click ok..after that reconnected with the navicat..and right click to your connection..click on connection properties..set the password u set b4 when edit the user..

its working..but i cant run the server..the mysql admin red light..

Forget about the light. Too many people rely on the light. All that is supposed to tell you is if mysql is on or off. Since you are/were getting an "access denied" message from localhost, that means your mysql is on even if the light turns blue.

but if the light red i dont think mysql is connect to your server database..try rollback the db and setup it again

try this:

Close WinMySQLAdmin
Go into C:\Windows and delete my.ini
Open WinMySQLAdmin and enter in your desired information(should leave username root and make password whatever is being used for the server).
