why not just format your computer as well?

if your silkroad plays fine with the "legit" client files, then a re-install shouldnt do nothing

No, as six of my friends used this method and it works, There is something when they updated they did and it takes a complete reinstall to fix it. You even have to go delete your silkroad folder. But you will see it fixes it. I have really no idea how, but it does. there are plenty of ppl who will tell you so.

The only thing a reinstall does is get rid of all your config files. Somehow i dont think your hotkey settings affect softmod.

the reason it worked for your friends is probably because they used a wrong mix of files.

the only thing a re-install does it replace all the game data with a "new" copy, which doesnt help at all because its the same client version after you patch. Unless joymax have made a brand new installer package?

No, why don't you try it then you will understand bud. Dont hypocrite when you haven't even tryed it, now as ive said everyone that has done it, it has fixed it.

i agree with Dmanenz2, it only works for the people/retards who have f*cked/messed up their files (e.g softmod client.exe, legit data.exe etc). I have been playing sro for over a year now, and i have NEVER had to re-install, and ive just about used every version of softmod/zoomhack/multiclient since the beginning. Unless there is a registry change/tweak/hotfix from a re-install, THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE.

a computer doesnt CARE how old that data is, if its the same file, it will run EXACTLY THE SAME.

oh yea, PS:

the re-install solution is the #1 dumbass choice. Would you buy a new car if the air filter was dirty?

Ok, then i appligizes for being rude. But this has worked for some people. And no i had the right files. So it dosent hurt to try it, if your bot dosent work. Sorry guys to who ive offended.

if any of you out there have tried hex editing your files, modified your files in ANY WAY other than replacing the sro_client.exe and data.exe, than this solution will work. other than that, so long as the legit sro_client works without crashes/freezing or any glitches, its something else with your system thats "broken".

Im wondering, when joymax updated, could they had through something in a file to mess up all the bots? I mean just a thought. Because this has worked with some that has cleared all the files out and did a reinstall? Any opinions?
