a lil problem

sorry but im caina noob in shaiya server ..this is my 1st shaiya server...
I have a dinamic IP so i will have to change ite ewery time my pc restarts....is there a way to fix this ting ?or is there a tutorial thet says how to make a shayia server on a dinamic ip ??

Easiest way to fix it is run off of a VPS (Virtual Server), get a dedicated server (which i dont recommend doing unless ur sure that it will make enough to keep it up), or contact ur ISP an ask them to give u a static IP address

I'd recommend ya to start with a windows VPS.

Yeah VPS's work good til u can get a big enough player base to run off a dedicated server. Though if u cant afford to pay for a VPS then i would advise contacting your ISP an gettin urself an Static IP address.

home hosting is annoying as hell though u must leave ur computer on 24/24

oh yeah i kno but if u need to build a player base before payin for a server u might as well run a home server. Its the cheapest way to go if ur jus starting one up an have no idea of what ur player base will be like.

I'd recommend Hamachi to set up ur database zokylove.

All u need to do is run it, open a network make people join it and edit ur client + game.ini with ur hamachi ip (5.xx.xx.xx)
Leave 127.0.0.1 everywhere else.

Very easy and working nicely.

Only bad thing about Hamachi thou is u must give EVERYONE connectablity to it to be able to run properly and that means it will be easy for ppl to grab the IP address of the database which equals easy kill for hackers

Vps can cost alot. If this is your 1 server I don't recommend using on.

Alladrios i know thet home hosting is anoying but i alwredy have a Server (HP’s MediaSmart Server EX490 )...and i wanna make the Shaiya Server on it ...all thet i need now is a good website...any ideea were i can get it ??
