If I come and someone is already killing it, fine it's theirs since they were there first. But if someone just sits on the lily pad, I'll ask them to let me by, and if they don't I kill them so I can go check for the king.
Besides if you sit there you're wasting time. The red snakes on the islands have a really good drop rate for mets, so hang out on the last island and kill them in between checking for the king.
