disconnected - ERROR 0

Hi,
I have installed SQL 2005 and EP4, on windows 7. Everything through guides and believed to be correct. I can log in, run, port, etc. However as soon as I select a mob I get "connection with server has been disconnected - ERROR 0"
I don't see any error's in server file logs. In sql in dbo.Userlog I get ..
ErrType 64. I don't know if it's related as I am new to this. Any advice/ suggestion would be greatly appreciated :)

Try to Reload the Database an see if it fixes it. Ive had this problem before an it always tended to happen when there was something not right in the database. So for instance if its happening when u go to attack a mob try lookin in ur dbo.mob for any irregularities an to make sure everything is there but i will try figuring something out to help u more if ur problems continue to occur.

Calvin, check your logs and post the files who show error, the log files on "D:\SHAIYA_SERVER\SERVER\PSM_Client\bin\Log" only

Same problem here. This problem wont give me some sleep. I'm almost 50 hours awake..>.<

First I tried to install on Win7x64, there works nothing so I decited to install XP Pro 32bit with SP3
After 3 days install& deinstalling SQL Server & Shaiya Server It finally worked.


However.. if I select a mob or try to link something @ blacksmith I get disconnected (0)!
Tried to use other Clients: German, US & private Server, all up to date.

Had to reinstall my Win32XP and SQL Server 2005 very often, so please don't tell me to do that again.
Also tried sql2008 nothing changed so I decited to continue using SQLserv 2005.

& yep, /nprotect is always off.

Google wont help anymore so I would be very! happy when someone knows a way to solve this problem.


First I've started the Server, did /vcheckoff & /nprotectoff.
Logged in and selected a mob. One secound later, Client disconnected.
I started the Client again, this time I tried to link a Lapis at the blacksmith. One sec the same happend. So I stopped the Server.

All I can do is just walk around play around with some commands and hope the Client won't dc again. ^^

This Error appears:
"Fehler beim Konvertieren des varchar-Datentyps in datetime."

means: "Error during convert varchar-datatyp in 'datetime'."


Had to fix the "Name already in use" problem, used this script:
[Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]
Maybe that is the Problem? The file changed the value of 'datatime'.


One little question left, how to edit pvp kills(where can I find my Account file) and how to get lv up to 75 by SSMS?

Could work if you have an EP4 server, bare in mind there are many releases, and it is ALWAYS wise to synchronize the versions of client / server. Most of the values server sided can be synchronized by importing the sdata information of the client. This way you can keep your server up to date. Bare in mind custom content will be lost!

After I have tested Shaiya EP4 Server + Client, I wanted to try something new.

I've installed chinese EP7(US EP5) Serverfiles.
So the Server works.

When I start the Client (US Client, up to date) and select a mob ... you know what I mean, I get the same error again, Error 0.

So there's still no way to fix that in game.exe? Couse it works with a version of
Shaiya-DE_Episode4.exe but then EP7 skills are gone.
Is it possible to get the same effect like with the EP4 Client, working without errors?

And if it's 100% working with Korean game.exe or another compatible EP5+ US/DE client, could anyone upload a non-gg version of it please.

@Boom to edit the pvp kills you need to right click dbo.chars and click design..then scroll down till you see K1 (this is the number of kills. Click it and underneath that should be the properties. You should see a field called Default value or binding. Put the required amount of kills here in brackets e.g (100000).

Does korea still have the 5.1 client? Cause im getting this error when i click on mobs too, so would like to test it with the 5.1 client.

EDIT: Tried with 5.0 client still getting disconnected after clicking mobs...havent treid with a 5.1 yet having a little trouble finding one

Oly, ask a new question instead of necroing completely dead threads.

not much i can do to help with that.. "error report" you give..

try look in your log files, or post those, in the right section, as a new question if you cant work it out.
