broken/defective xbox

any1 know where i can pick up broken xbox's besieds ebay?

umm.... swap-meet?

what do u need it for?

i need 3 to 20 xbox's for a project. not sure on an exact number. depends on what is all broken.

xbox's can be used just like a normal computer. multible xbox's can be used as 1 whole machine if done right. that means more processing power that i don't have to use on my main system.

generating encryption, game server, ftp server, http server, gameing system. really, i can pretty much do anything.

the xbox uses an intel pentium 3 733 MHz processor.

so how fast would your computer be if it was 10 xbox's? or 20? with that many different processors, how good would it be at multi tasking? you can fit 2 hard drives on them. you could have over 5 TB on one computer with 10 xbox's. ever used a t.v. with your computer? xbox makes that possible and provides more clairity than you would get with a normal computer without a very expensive video card. that is with them all running as 1 machine. linux makes it possible.

all an xbox is is pc with another type of microsoft operating system.

very true....but one thing you might want to think about..is when you have that many processors on 1main i/o bus its just like having a highway traffic on a 2way street..the data gets stuck basicly..also with every processor you have they each need thier own cashe of Ram and you might be able to hook up 20 processors but they each need..lets say 512MBs of ram..thats over 10GBs. Good idea anyway just takes alot of skill to make them work effectively.
