[Request] Help fixing ps_game.exe not starting on VPS

Hello all,

Few days ago i decided to move my lil home based hamachi server to a Virtual Private server. Everything was working smoothly on hamachi. Then i started installing Shinru's EP4_EP5 server files (Wich were working perfectly on my home server) but now i get all services Running and showing no errors while only PS_Game.exe do not start.

Im using a static IP as first IP in MSSQL Config settings + 127.0.0.1 as second IP, Both are enabled.

I use local 127.0.0.1 IP adress as public Adress in PS_Game.ini

The server is running windows server 2003 x64 + MSSQL express 2005 properly patched to work on x64 + SMSEE x64 as well.

When I ran into this problem, it was because of the SQL query for the "Game" linked server. When you install that linked server on Hamachi, you need to change all of the IP's to your Hamachi IP.

The script should (keyword) look like this in its generic form:

My apologies if you've already changed that IP. Just an idea I had from a similar issue.

Also, if you changed your configuration, be aware some linked servers are setup with SQL_USER and SQL_PASSWORD. Before you import these, make sure you change the values.

Wieird thing is that i've tried to install EP3 server all from the begining and it works, When i upgrade to EP4 i get PS game not starting, and same with EP5.

Question for me now is, Should i open a EP3 old school server or spend more time fixing the PS_Game problem lol?

I dont believe its a PS_Game problem =/. If it works on EP3, make sure the linked servers are correct, these read out the data from the new DB's.

How can u be sure that the linked server exist in ur DB?

Ok well i tried everything to make it work with this provider but apparently there are some restrictions wich wont allow me to run my server there.

Any of you have a Host suggestion where i can be sure my server can work? For a reasonable price and upgrade possibilities?
