PT Avg Question

i searched this but the threads i found didnt answer my questions.

i KNOW that if the avg of your pt is lower than the pt mob ur killing you get double xp.

my question is...

how do these factors affect the pt avg

1) if u have a full pt and one isnt within sharing range, does the avg change to the current pt that is sharing the xp? or do i include the one that is not receiving?

2) what if the full pt is within range or of sharing xp, but 1 is dead and stays dead. does the avg change again?

1) only the chars within range affect the pt average , so if your pt is 8/8 but only 5/8 are within range then the average is applied to these 5 only

2) a dead char is like no char , it wont be included in the pt average
