Conquer Sound Mods

Okay, I'm new here. Not really... Just haven't posted before.

But heres my first addition to the community.

Many people have probably already done this, but after snooping around forums I noticed there hasn't been a topic on it yet.

So here we go.


For all you Moonbox lovers out there, here's a little trick to help you out..
To change the sound of tokens dropping:
1...Find a .wav file you like (heres a site I use: [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...])
2...Save it to your desktop (usually by clicking the link of the wav and saving link as).
3...Rename the wav file as DropItem.wav
4...Go into your Conquer Folder find the Sound folder
5...Paste the new DropItem.wav over the old one and Voi-La

Of course, this will also change the sound of items that also use that same file, which to my knowledge are just Scrolls,Gems, and Ores.


Also for those of you who wish to change the gem drop sound to the met drop sound...
1...Go into you conquer folder. Find the Sound folder and copy the sound file bell.wav to your desktop.
2...Rename it to DropItem.wav
3...Paste it over the original DropItem.wav in your sound folder.

There's been many threads on this... modifying your sound. I found out about this a long time ago, and made use of it. I created a sound mod, changing nearly every single sound on conquer to a sound from the game StarCraft. I might submit it later if I'm bored.

hey thanks for this, i was mad that the gem sound was so low, so i changed it to the met sound to signify something important.
