As you can see from his examples they definitely professional works. I must say, all of them are real good. I'm trying to get myself into web design myself, do you design your websites in photoshop while slicing the images and placing it into html?

Yes I do use Photoshop for design and Dreamweaver/Notepad++ for coding.
