SV Workaround: howto make it work again

You can make windows think 8008102299.com is 202.109.124.19.

Here's how:
Look for a file called hosts, it's located in one of the below directories.

Windows 95/98/Me: c:\windows\
Windows NT/2000/XP Pro: c:\winnt\system32\drivers\etc& #092;
Windows XP Home: c:\windows\system32\drivers\et c\
(you may need administrator access for Windows NT/2000/XP)
(If you cannot find the file, it might not exist, create it and add the last line)

Open the file in notepad, below all the lines with # you will probably see:
127.0.0.1 localhost

Put this line underneath:
202.109.124.19 8008102299.com

Save, and it should work!

If you have explorer crashing while you use it .. try this alternative for explorer, its also free.

no you shouldent have to just as long as this SV can read the changes.

and to teh guy with no local host just look under every thing that say's #.and put what he said to put.you could even put your local host also.

i renamed it and it worked

when you open the host file does it say this is a sample host?just read into it just a little bit please.

yea thats y i renamed mine hosts for hosts temp in order for windows to recoginse it. it doesnt even do logging anymore on mine it goes.
