Changing the Resolution/Graphics?

I am using a pXI emulator to test out the game.
I go through meteorXI to get into the game but when i am playing, the resolution looks like 800x600 and is very pixelly, low details.
How can I make it widescreen (like 1680x1050) and all highest details?

I already attempted to use the Tools, ToolsEU, ToolsUS, and Windower in the FFXI folder. The new settings were saved but everytime I enter the game through meteorxi, it still looks the same 800x600, no difference.

How do I fix this?

I have tried doing the registry tweaks, tried the new meteorxi windower version. it still is low quality ingame.. the resolution doesnt change

Use FFXICalculator!

Step 1:START > RUN > Type in REGEDIT
Step 2: Click HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, then click Software
Step 3: Click PlayOnlineUS > Square Enix > then the FinalFantasyXI tab.
Step 4: You should see 2 files 003 and 004. Double click and change the value on 003 and then 004. These will change the resolutions. Maximum is 2048x2048 (800, 800).

RES. by RES = Value for 003 and Value for 004:
2048 x 2048 = 800 and 800
1600 x 1600 = 640 and 640
1280 x 1280 = 500 and 500

FFXI calculator does not want to launch when i go Load Settings.

I tried doing the registry hacks, the high resolution values are in the registry but yet when i go in the game it still looks bad.

I try to use the FINAL FANTASY XI CONFIG.exe, whenever I try to Apply the settings,
a black cmd window opens up for a short time and says:

Exception occured: Could not find file 'E:\Games\FFXI\SquareEnix\FINAL FANTASY XI\FFXI.xml"
Failed

Does anyone have this xml file?

Its because you need to hit apply settings, load settings is for when you have pressed save settings and made a settings file for your game. If you don't hit apply, it won't change anything.:rolleyes:
