Questions

hey guys ive just set a private server up using 5165 and im have a few problems.1st problem is when i use mt static ip no1 can connect not even me, but when i use my 192. ip i can connect but no1 else ny ideas on how to fix?.
2nd problem how wud i get my server to let ppl make there own account and pass then log in?

1) Do you have your ports forwarded? or are you using hamachi?
2) You need to install appserv and make a reg page or download one from epvpers.

yeah ive done my portforwarding ,no dont use hamachi.
i have appserv installed but have no idea how to make this reg page.you have a link for the download?

Ok first you don't use your static IP you need to use your Global IP. [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]

Search the forum for "register page" you will come up with plenty of results

yeah sry my bad Global ip is what i ment, it wont work when i set it all to that but will if i set it all to my 192. ip :/
but if i use my 192. ip only i can connect no1 else.
yeah ive found a few threads on reg pages but not exactly sure what im ment to do with them atm :) still learning that part.

every thing wud work fine if i cud just use my global ip and not my 192. lan ip.
any1 know how im able to fix this problem?im open to all segestions thanks.

I couldn't understand your original post but are you trying to use "192.x.x.x" as the servers ip?
If you wanna use your static ip as [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] said you need to port forwarded but some routers don't allow it.

Also ! Have you got the right IP in the client? If you don't use your Global IP in the client it will not connect.

@.Yoshi A static IP is different to a Global IP.
Static IP = A fixed address between your router and computer
Global IP = The address of the Webserver or ISP.
