[Guide] Being Able To Edit Login Screens!

Before you start reading, this is a guide to be able to edit login screens for conquer, not a guide to edit them. I am not writing a guide to editting login screens because that gets very off topic and it requires the knowledge of using adobe flash (or any other flash editting program).

First off, the login screen for conquer is a flash file (swf file) and if you have any prior knowledge of editting/creating flash files on Adobe Flash CS3/CS4/CS5 then you may be able to edit the Conquer login screen with ease.

The programs that I use to edit the login are: SoThink SWF Decompiler & Adobe Flash CS3. (I use Photoshop CS3 for designing my logins.)

Basically what I do is, I change the file extension of the start.dat to start.swf and then use the SoThink SWF Decompiler to decompiler the swf file and turn it into an fla file (the file that can be editted using Adobe Flash CS3/CS4/CS5)

When you convert the start.swf to start.fla, you will be prompt with the window below, just press OK.

Once you have the start.swf converted to start.fla, you can open the start.fla with Adobe Flash and then start editting it.

To save the login when your done editting on Adobe Flash, just press ctrl+enter or go to file>export>swf and Adobe Flash will export the login for you.

(Don't forget to go to settings and set the flash player to flash player 7 before exporting)

I usually just use WinRAR to change the file extension.

How I do it..

1 - Open winrar

2 - Look for the file using winrar

3 - Press F2 to rename the file

4 - When renaming the file, change the ".dat" of the file to ".swf"

Not really a secret, I kinda figured the login uses flash when I noticed the folder named "flash" in the client. :D What I don't get is, that people dont know how to edit flash ._.

You can do it with winrar, that's what I did.

Put the file in a winrar archive, then change the extension from .dat to .swf.

Extract it and you're done :)

But the easiest to change file extension would be, turning off hiding known file extensions from folder options and right click on file -> rename and there change .dat to .swf and you are done, enjoy.

And good to know that you made that guide to help other players in getting what they want.
