Mabi Kill

Dear elitepvpers,

how do you kill mabi successfully?

So far, I've tried TaskKill and Pskill (in an Admin Priv. Cmd), but neither of those does the job, returning a horrible "Access Denied". the WinKill option in Autoit just pops up a 'Unsafe exit' in mabi... and i didn't see the processTerminate option.

Only Task Manager can kill Client.exe, which is weird and unreliable, again. or you'd have to press the 2 buttons to kill the Client, once again uber-unreliable.

is there a way to use commandline to access Task Manager's [kill process] command? or is it just a simple 'Process.terminate(0)' line in C#?

Just use a simple batch file?

Code:
@echo off
taskkill /im Client.exe /f
pause
Run it as administrator and this will kill Mabi with no problems at all.

how do you run something as admin through Autoit3 though???

its not autoit3; its a batch file. put it in notepad and save it as one.

You can't just right click the batch file and press "Run as administrator"? Or is this part of a script? In that case try making a small program in C++ and setting it to run as an admin by default. (Right click -> Properties -> Compatibility -> "Run this program as an administrator")

But isn't there a Windows API function to prompt for elevation?

I have no clue... But it's still a prompt nonetheless, so you'd be better off just making a simple .exe to kill it.

i turned off my prompt. but ... yeah i'm using it in script. and thanks for the compatibility options trick, i'll try it out and see...

..How is task manager unreliable? ._.

Every time I went to go kill Mabinogi using the task manager it wouldn't work if I tried doing it under the Applications tabs, but every time I tried doing it under the Processes tab and kill Client.exe it worked instantly... Have you tried that?

Are you taking about when you try to exit the game the it goes to "saving character information" leaving the client open in a unresponsive state? If you are I think it's just because your pc is performing poorly... and if what i said its true (because it happens to me on my other pc) you're better off just ending the process, since the client is covering your desktop.
