Warning to the newbs.

Not everyone that comes to epvp wants to help folks find exploits. Some who visit here are bottom feeders. That is to say some of them are scammers that are attempting to dupe hack hungry newbs such as yourself into thinking they can get a really awesome hack that will make you a uber in no time.

things to watch out for.

1. Screen Shots showing off their uber cool hack in action. (Anyone with photo shop 4 or later can manipulate any image by either retouching the photo or by digitally mapping and manipulating images) That is not to say that all screen shots on here are bogus but always attempt to get the ss supplied and view it through a browser where you can enlarge and isolate the image and view it grid by grid. IE 7 and fire fox have enlargement features in their browser you could use to view SS for closer inspection of particular areas of interest.

2. Look at their post count and karma. If they dont have very many posts and karma always take what they say with a grain of salt. Dont take their word for things. Thats not to say new people have nothing to contribute but always be cautious.

3. Always and i do mean always inspect downloads with antivirus and anti spyware programs. there are many such programs out there that have a right click scan feature. There are a few file downloaders that can be configured to use your existing antivirus software to scan files as they are being downloaded.

4. If someone is posting a awesome sight that has a cool lottery in it always check the web address and make sure it's official. updated(ie 7, opera, and mozilla either have anti fishing software imbedded or anti phishing add ons for their browsers to decrease the chances of fraud. these also have the capability of reporting fraudulent sites you find. so do everyone a favor and learn to use these functions it can help save a computers life and someones credit)

5. If you find something thats of a dubious nature on this forum report the post to the mods by using the report post feature button to report the person making the post. Mods can check out the hack or exploit and they will definately post whether or not it's for real or not.

6. Use your common sense if something sounds too good to be true you may not be wrong. It's better to be safe than sorry.

So hopefully this will help you avoid any unpleasantness while browsing the forums. Hack hungry newbs can easily be victimized if they let their hunger for the next great hack to over ride their common sense.

Not really sure what the point of this topic is cause if noobs had enough common sense they would read the first 7 posts of the topic usually by that time someone has already scanned the bot/hack and has also posted if it works..

no noobs are gonna read this haha, but can we get a sticky? :bandit:

actually i've found that most of the posts on here for bots and hacks are usually filled with newbs asking how dos this work. will it help me get better in the game and that kind of junk. and it isn't till the middle of the posts that some of the older members are posting scans and the like. the reason for this post is to get the newb to do some of their own investigation instead of just screaming has anyone scanned this. so thats basicly why i made this.

you completely forgot to use that noob who flamed me as an example... that guy was a stitch, saying my thread about how we aren't TQ's tech support department was useless, and that guy had only 19 posts... i thought that post was pretty useful, definately deterred a few noobs from useless thread making, and i know several ppl out there agreed with what my points were ;)

yes i'm sorry for the oversite. thank you for bringing that point up. flaming a post cause you dont like whats being said should be frowned upon. of course if someone is being a scammer or they talking about stuff they dont know about it is hard to refrain from flaming but out of respect to our fellow posters we should try to keep the flames to a minimum. if you disagree with someone you can do it without being a ass. lol by the way i didn't like how you where flamed either.

well you missed the flood of hack hungry newbs. that had been slamming this site for the last couple of weeks beggin for the next big hack. i was warning them to err on the side of caution. lol alot of these hacks that have been thrown on this site in the last couple weeks in the conquer forums have either been total garbage or absolute scams. so i thought i'd be nice and warn the newbies not to believe every claim of look uber hack. Of course alot of scammers hate posts like this it cuts into their business.
