PE_PATCH.UPX, UPX

Greetings ,

I got a file and scanned it . And the results showed me that it detected a packer called "PE_PATCH.UPX, UPX" . So i googled it and found out that most of the results shows that this packer is a trojan backdoor . So if its a backdoor , why does GM pins the post for that particular file ? Can someone please enlighten me on this ? Cheers and peace out :)

UPX is just a compresser for executables and dynamic link libraries to make them smaller
some scanner detect UPX as backdoor, virus or maleware but its crap
