This question has been asked many times. Is it possible to open, edit, and create rsm files. Rsm files are the files that control all 3d objects in maps such as houses, statues, tables..ect. Of course the editing of them isnt very easy but this will give you a way to import and export rsm's very easily and edit them how ever you wish. Ive encluded 2 version's of the plugin RSMImp 5.0 and RSMImp 3.1 there plugins for 3D Studio MAX. 5.0 Only works with version 5.0 and the same with 3.1. The plugins simply go into the plugins folder for 3d Studio Max.
3D Studio Max is for editing the structure of the rsm's if you simply just want to edit the bmp's for the prexisting rsm you can do that by opening the rsm in a hex editor copying the link for the bmps which will be somthing like
RO\data\texture\ÇÁ·ÐÅ׶ó\al-hou-sw1.bmp
Each bmp will be a different part of the 3d object so there will be afew and then just edit them in what ever program you use. The plugins are for the high end of editing like You dont like the looks of somthing so you edit the shape or what ever you want.
Feel free to scan it you have my word its not infected with anything and I hope this makes someones day abit brighter.
