Conquer crash

people, this may seem stupid but for some reason or another Conquer is crashing my PC! I start up conquer and it gets stuck on the auto patch! please someone give me a suggestion! i've tryed uninstalling and installing again but it's not working... please...
(*part where i start to beg for help! i'm a conquer junkie and i can't do anything about it*)

i'm offended. >:o try manually downloading and installing the patch. :?

try to re dowload conquer, and reinstall.
if that doesnt work try to manually download the patches and run with COTOBO to skip the autopatch ;)

it would be easier to assess the problem if we knew your computer specs. :?


also,if your comp used to run conquer fine then what have you recently done to it that could've possibly changed this. anything at all, think about it.

pent 2.4 ghz, 768 ram 128 graphics card! what else do you want to know!

you should be able to run it fine,sorry mate I don't know what could be causing your problem. i'm not the smartest person with computers though. sorry I couldn't be more help. :?

i manually download the patch from conqueronline and ran it and computer crashed!!!!! this sucks, i have to keep hitting the reboot button!! any last suggestion before i permentantlly quit conquer and start playing some other game?

before you quit..i would email tq and explain to them that before the patch co ran great..after the patch it crashes my comp..Its a shot in the dark that they help you but if you like co it may be better than quitting..Good Luck

ok, so... knowing his specs dont really do much (no suprise... its most likely file issue anywho)

tell me do you have back ups off your system and all your important files??

Hi,

Old video card tends to give problem to crash a PC.
As CO2 has many visual effect, it may have overload the video card.
Try to change the video card, hope this help. ^^

Sorry for not answering but i havn't had time -_-* i now have tryed to redownload the program and it still doesn't work, i'm think it may be my firewall, because when i CRTL+ALT+DEL it shows up and then the computer stays crashed! but i'm not sure why it doesn't allow conquer when i try to do it manully!!!

windows firewall? SHUT IT OFF!!!!!
even though it still blocks shit them (yes when its turned off >.<) it will block a little less...

also i have same specs as u only 256 mb video and runs great

though i think this is the problem...

i used to run lineage2 on 64 mb (motherboard) video... crashed my drives A LOT of times (lol, 16 colors in windows xp... dont know anyone who ever did that but it looks like ur playing game boy... the original one XD)
also my comp used to reset itself (it isnt restart since it doesnt shut down but acts like you press reset) a lot of times... new video card fixed it (but screwed my screenies, because of old drivers... now because of too new drivers for my monitors i see lines all over the place in CO where they dont belong xD)


also you can try to put your virtual memory on 4GB (max)

I finally found the answer, don't ask how but i uninstalled my modem and then reinstalled my modem!! It is working fine now!!! lol thanks everyone for all the help!!!!
