Who made CO PServer development as it is today?

This thread is in no way similar to my last one, which I want to apologize for.

Anyhow, I was thinking, which people did great things for CO PServer development?

And what exactly did they do?

Name the person you admire for his participation, and why.

Hybrid, For being a god.

MagicMan for lasting best server ever CoEmu.

This thread also has no relation with private servers and sources
It's almost same as your previous one.

Im not against people showing their appreciation so this thread imo atleast is ok for the time being.

Personally Qonquer got me into the private server scene and then i moved over to coemu where i contributed to Andy & Ranny's open source project, i learnt a great deal at that project and imo i contributed a great deal aswell. From there i wrote my own source which was released around the time that the first lotf was released i think? Gets abit difficult to remember after this many years.

There are numerous people who contributed to the current scene, Andy, Ranny, Steve(Qo), Hybrid, Future, Zero, Myself, Haydz, Ultimatum, Ultimation, Tanel, Emme and numerous others, mostly positive contributions, some negative imo, but thats life lol.

Well, if we look back, the ones that we should thank most that we are in the current position is in my opinion Future&Korvacs (CoFuture), Tanel (FirstCOServer,LOTF), Zero(bone-you), Steve, Ultimation,Hybrid and maybe the most important person of them all, Sparkie.

That's a tough question. While I think a lot of people have helped make pserver dev what it is today, whether it was for the better or worse is in question.

I'd have to say there are only a select few that have truly made great achievements and contributions to the pserver dev scene. I am not going to list them all out to prevent hurt feelings, but those that have know who they are.

Whoever develops qonquer deserves a crown, for giving life as one of the first and keeping it till today. It kept un-usually high level for longer than I'm around. And after such a long time, they're serving one of the very few truly decent servers around, keepin average of 150 people on.

I didin't pick ulti 'cause no matter how revolutionary his things were (also talkin abt not public ones I had pleasure to watch thru tv), they all die or already died.

Besides that, for bigger or smaller contribution (the ones I remember): hybrid, korvacs, saint, unknownone, future, andy and probably lots more I have no idea about.

And about the title question.. Tbh, you should've ask - who's responsible for that shit? lol

1) Sparkie, Ultimation - Without these people I doubt we'd have any servers
2) Qonquer, and the original CoEmu team (the open source server) - Started people to get interested
3) Less important people such as Korvacs, Hybrid, etc.


People on the same level aren't related, but I feel are of equal importance.

For me:
Ultimation is very important for COWS that is my first server.
Tanel for his source that I have used a long time.
Korvacs for all his contributions.
Sparkie and Hybrid for some help.

For the contributions in the community: Sparkie, Ultimation, Tanel, Korvacs, Future, Hybrid, Andy, Steve, high, Haydz, tao, Emme...

TQ, for the Conquer.exe and these things in the client. =]

I would say elitepvpers admins :P
without them copservers would be dead or only running bins.

The Person Who i look up to the Most is Kinshi88, If It Would of not Be for him i would of Probably Quit COPrivServers, And Again Second Person who i look up2 is Alii, Because Everyday, I look up2 Hes Coding. And after hes 5180 Work.

Forgot UCCO? ;) einhorchen deserves a place here :) The open-source emulators gave a big boost to the scene. Also, I`d say tanel as well, even though LOTF was pretty bad, it got many people into the scene.
