it reads the file by itself. nothing else needed, cuz it's in the program's coding. :)

Yes it does open it by itself, but it cant.
If it cant open it, it doesnt mean it needs a program!
Look if your itemtype.dat is in the correct folder.

This should be replaced to the Cotobo forum

k thx but i really think the itemtype.dat is in the right folder and ive already asked this in the cotobo forum without results, though that was a while ago

what to do:

1. delete all cotobo files
2. delete CO from ur pc
3. redownload(!) conquer and reinstall it
4. update conquer
5. re-download cotobo

this should work, if it doesnt:
1. boot from disk and execute 'format C:'
2. reinstall windows XP SP2 (wich seems the only OS where cotobo is working on)
3. install conquer again and redownload cotobo
4. update CO

if that still doesnt do it...
1. get a better pc!

though wouldnt format C also delete other programs from station C ?

guess ur just doing somethingg wrong since it works for everybody but you xD guess you screwed your windows in some way ;)

ive an illegal version of windows xp maybe thats the cause, but i dont think that u all bought windows

most ppl have windows on their PC when they buy it...

gotten it with my pc... though i formatted my pc in the meantime and installed again with copied disk and serial from a friend ;)

so i have a licence, but not for the thing i installed otm if u get me :P i dont think this is seen as an illegal version since it also updates w/o probs ;)

and i know pirating software is wrong, but everyone does it (name me 10 persons... not companies that have photoshop, LEGALLY... you wont be able to do it while i could name 100+ ppl that have photoshop illegal xD though not gonna do it)

LOL yeah its your os, and 99.999% people here have actually bought windows in one way or another, via getting it with pc, upgrading it from previous os or an official vendor installed it it for them. Dont cheap out you moron, get the legal version of windows xp. :rolleyes:
