Since some people cannot have static IP's and do hate hamachi,i thought about one more method and i need to know if it is possible to work in any way...since some Counter Strike servers use no-ip:[Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]
i dunno if i really can use it on CO
can somebody help me make this "no-ip"a possibility
i am sure it will be useful to many ppl
contact me in my msn if you want to co-op:)

Please use a more appropriate thread title next time, your not writing a newpaper your trying to make interesting.

Also, I am almost certain you can use this, however I do not know how, neither do I want to know it, sorry.

I use no-ip for my domain hosting and if you setup your server properly to use it then it should work.

The problem you will face is making sure the auth packet is sent properly with the correct ip and making sure the client doesn't simply bitch out arguing that the server.dat has been tampered with (try using it with null's loader)

You will still face the problem of port forwarding though. Many people use hamachi because they are too stupid or are unable to access their router to open up the ports required for a proper server to run via the web. This will not solve any of those problems but should work for those running a dynamic ip.

I am pretty sure that is grounds for not starting a server. Square peg, round hole.

Why can't you access your router?

Hard reset will only reset user/pass on router to default (if you don't have that.. look it up there is a site that lists most of the common ones)

To find the gateway ip just open cmd and type in ipconfig. Type the gateway ip in your browser to logon to your router. Enter the user/pass, find where your port forwarding is and forward the correct ports to your local ip.
