Bot making help in VB.

Hello, all.

I'm rather new to the world of Visual Basic. I would like to use it to make some little bots, I'm more interested in learning little programming, and maybe make a big project some day for you all. If anybody can give me tips, or a good source to learn from, it'd be greatly appreciated. Even help me out personally through PMs or MSN. :) Any body looking for karma and knows about VB, it's good oppurtunity. :)

Also, to give you an idea of my knowledge: I'm quite familiar with java and html. (I know they are really nothing alike, but maybe if there's some realation at all you can start from there. :-D )

Thank in advance.

In general you should look into Active VB which allows to use the Directx API, you can create pretty much bots for every game with that.

If you need a source for a wrapper I suggest looking into Evilhack (it's an aimbot but it has a well written object oriented source). You should get the source somewhere on MPC or UC and start looking there. Here I have not seen much of use (if you want to learn) on evp. However EH was written in c++ or c# (don't remember).

Aimbots for FPS & Bots for MMORPGs are pretty much the same if they are d3d based (packetbased is another story I wouldn't care for as start).

There are better things than wrappers, however they are somewhat easy to use and you find alot of info about them. That's why I would start with them.

Ah btw: If you like to switch to a C like language, look into java as well, exspecially for Jave you are going to find alot of neat stuff.

OMG some one responded *gasp*

ok thanx for the input. you obviously know what you are talking about. i only mentioned the html and java cuz that's what i mostly use for my web development. i was just highly interested in using VB becuase many here seem to use it, i know it's got a great interface, and i am always looking to expand my horizons.

also i'm not really looking to do aimbots... i think they are a low level form of bots (no disrespect to their creators) i just would like to make a few projects that can benefit all (ore dropping, pot drinkers, item identifiers, etc) to give more than information into this forum, and to help me strengthen my VB skills. (so far i've got little crappy programs that don't do much, or are corporate form type thingies i use for my business)

anyhow thanx alot, i'll look into those things of which you were talking that i understand (meaning some things went over my head)

Would anyone like to test and give me feed back on my beta projects once I've completed them?
