Anti GM for autoit

08/04/2010 17:48 zerosmoke#1
I wrote my own bot using parts of autoit code I'd gleaned from MHS but modifying most of it... the only thing is, it doesn't detect if a GM is nearby... and I'm wondering if anyone knows of some autoit code that will detect a GM... When a GM is nearby, and in view of the character, there is an obvious "GM" on the name of the GM character, but if you're not looking in that direction, the bot won't see it. So I could code in for the bot to look for GM on the screen... but what if the GM isn't on the screen? Any ideas?

use my playerlist function.

Your playerlist function? This is for PWI right? I've been searching the forums and can't find it. Any suggestions?

you could just have searched lokops lasts posts.. >.>
the function is in the Mob and Item listing thread
but as far as i know, you can't recognize any Gm by name, except you know all gm names
afaik their names are not like GM_name or something.. they just have the GM icon next to their name, you should look that up

good luck

Never mind. I decided instead to use a pixelsearch function on the chat area to search for message color, and when anyone uses the equivalent of a pm to chat with me, the bot is terminated, and a chat message is entered, and depending on whether i'm in front of it or not, it will play an alert sound, and take a screenshot of the game window in case I'm not in front of the computer at the time and want to see what happened.

It means I have to run the game client focused, which isn't too much of a problem since I usually don't run anything else at the same time since I've got more than one computer running and can use another for anything else, and it beats just logging out or disabling the bot if a GM shows up.

doing something with pixelsearch is bullshit =) use memory or stop working on a useless project ;)

I don't know how to use memory to check for received messages in the chat interface. This is the only workaround I've got, plus, I've written my own bot pretty much and use it. Mine also uses pixelsearch to avoid killsteal. Show me better, and free, and then you can call mine useless. Until then, stfu.

uhm...you can use memory for avoiding ks ^^"

I also tried a bot that used memory to 'avoid ks' and it didn't work. Using pixelsearch on the health bar of target works for me every time.

You should be able to find the HP value for your target in memory too, but stick to what works for you I'd say :)

I want to extend an apology about being rather rude back there to you about not using memory. I ran across some hp bars of varying colors and my pixelsearch bot threw it's hands up and said it couldn't find the hp bar colors.

So I went and finally worked some anti ks code into my bot. Thanks 'Prophet' for the help.
