The once in a lifetime scam

This came to me while i was sitting in IF, i was talking to a guy about beta and asked him how much he would pay to get in beta now he responded with, "I would shard all of my gear to get to buy it" Now asking several others the same question i slowly realized the huge potential that lay before me. This is the Beta-Key Scam.

1. Have a friend, guildie or anyone you trust post up several auctions for grey items with buyouts of 1000g.

2. Be prepared for a 3 day ban so if you have already gotten a 3 day this could be a perma.

3. Make an alt to avoid a bad reputation and simply say in trade "WTS Burning Crusade Beta-Key, PST"

4. I have tested and almost instantly got 10-15 whispers, this may vary from server to server though.

5. Let the bidding begin and when you have reached the highest amount begin to explain to the High Bidder the process.

6. Agree upon terms where they give you either part or all of the money then you tell the fake beta key, here is an example of one that will not work but has the correct number of characters,

ex/ H9Z5 QV37 I8NBL9 W5TX KJ42B

7. Now with the gold you have just recieved buy out the auctions your friend has put up and enjoy.

Das ist mal wieder einer der Scams , wo ich nur sehr schwer glauben kann das jemand so dumm ist ;)

hmm... hab ja noch n 2. WoW acc... hmm... lohnt sichs dafür den wieder aufzutaun für 13 euro?

würde sich lohnen wenn man kurz dannach Server wechselt :D ansonsten ich weiss nicht, wenn man nicht 60 ist wird man auch kaum ernst genommen und somit lohnt es sich nicht ! Aber wenn man 60 sein sollte und in einer größeren Gilde ist wird aufjedenfall früher oder später einer reinfallen. Eventuell auch einer aus der Gilde aber ich weiss nicht, das ist halt der Scam bei dem man das zeug dazu haben muss richtig Ernst rüberzukommen und ein sry "A*sch" zu sein. Denn nur "Ingame Freunde" würde wahrscheinlich (70%) darauf reinfallen, randoms weiss ich nicht. Und da Beta auch schon in ihrer Blütenzeit ist denke ich wird man so um die 5-10 whisps bekommen, aber 1x gescammt wars das mit dem Ruf -> Chartransfer
