Idea: SRO Build Tierlist

Hey,

has anyone thought about this before? People are discussing which Silkroad-build is the best for PVP.

So since the emulators got more advanced and itīs possible to PVP.
How about making a Tierlist/Table to see how often does a build win against another in like 50-100 fights. Playerskills should be equal and the equipment, too.

First of all I will start testing the most common builds, like bicheon, light, ice.

b1 = bicheon light ice INT
b2 = heuksal fire light STR
b3 = pacheon fire ice STR

b1 b2 b3

b1 50 ? ?

b2 ? 50 ?

b3 ? ? 50

like this and so on... more specific builds will follow up.
So what do you think of that? It will give us statistic data, so noone can say something "like pure str blader pwnz all", since noone ever tried out all kind of builds. You have only heard that a build is good, but never saw it in action vs other builds.
We can change it now :)

Idk, i think its not a great idea.
in reality you rarely,if not never, fight someone with exactly the same gears.
And the same about player skills, how to make this equal ?
Flames might start too, like "its wrong!!! i always beat spear nuker !!!!!!"
Such arguments have ofcourse truth in them, since in reality its rarely pure fairness
Maybe its nice to show some raw statistics, but I'm not waiting for that personally
just my opinion

So there should be more players doing this, so we can get more reliable data.

equal sets, equal skills ANY build can win against ANY build, there is no best build, there are just players who know how to play their chars better, so stop this bullshit with the 'best build in sro'

If u will PvP with all chars full NPC, you will see that not all chars are the same. Full Int vs Ful Str ( full npc ), is a dead end for int :)
Full Str vs Full str ( full npc ), 80% chance that bow will win.

you cannot measure the % win probability of a build.

IT'S ALL ABOUT THE WAY YOU PLAY IT

nah, u need luck too(i mean kd succes when u have 100hp etc...)

do you play sro with npc sets? you dont, you always upgrade so it the end it comes down to max str/int and health sets, thats where all the characters have full potential and all the chars are equally the same, you dont pvp with an npc set unless youre a goldbot

so why do ppl come up with tier lists for other games where it's also player-skilled dependent?

eg. warcraft, starcraft, street fighter just to name a few...

i think it's a nice idea to have sro tier lists BUT keeping in mind just because you have the best build in sro does not guarantee you will beat everyone. the tier list just describes basically which build has a "NATURAL" advantage over the other builds so to speak and can give players indication of what strong builds are out there.

a build can only go so far regardless of set + player skills eg. bard/cleric or rogue/bard will never be king of pvp since the disadvantages outscore it's advantage over every other build!
