Is it possible to make a macro or script to open the mailbox at any location (like the convenient mailbox item) and also to change class in much the same way.

I'm pretty sure there's an AddOn that does that kind of stuff. Being able to view Mailbox and Auction House even if you're not there is built into the game, but you have to pay diamonds. Haven't messed around with it much, but I don't think there's a work around for it. :/
