Any skilled hacker that could help a Linux gamer?

Okay so I'm a gamer. I also dislike Windows pretty much. There's my problem.
Most games get created to only run under Windows, Conquer Online is one of them.
But if a skilled coder/hacker would be willing to help with this problem it might be possible to run Conquer Online under Linux :)
The name of the problem is: GameGuard.
Somewhere in one of the running files (most likely Conquer.exe) GameGuard code is implemented and thus hindering the game from running under Wine etc.

I have a suggestion how to fix this, not sure if it's possible but hell it could be worth a try :)
Now to the idea, would it be possible to remove/disable the GameGuard code from the file?
And maybe when you're at it you could make the file a multiclient to? That would be great! :)
You might get a hint how to do it by these guys: [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] they seem to have been able to disable it for silkroad.

I'm sure you would make atleast some gamers happy if this was possible.

I didnt knew Conquer uses Gameguard... Are you sure?

And how do I use that in wine? would like to have that explained to me :)

EDIT: I have no idea how to use the blacknull command in wine but i got it up and running anyway but I can't see the mouse cursor. Is there a solution to that?

Did you solve the mouse cursor problem? (directx acceleration for mouse stink...and co uses it...no ideea how to make it software)

Nope hasen't been able to get the mouse working :/

i need help also :( i just installed the new wine version, 0.9.24 and now i cant run co anymore, i get the error that says "please change to small fonts blabla". it used to work on .23 version, with tons of bugs but at least load (enough for TG/mining...)

any idea how to fix this? (without degrading wine)

Hey gemini how did you get the mouse cursor to show?
I will try .24 as soon as it comes out in the arch reps

i dont get lol, the login window is so annoying cause you dont see the mouse, but here is a hint, ill try explain good but my english sucks so sorry.

1. open co and go login window
2. open a window like a terminal
3. move the terminal border near the login textbox (where you put user/pass)
4. copy username in clipboard (write it anywhere and copy)
5. put the terminal in front, u see the mouse cursor, move it slowly to the username form, right click and select paste.
6. repeat the process 4-5 with password instead of username
7. now u have the login form filled (anyway dont try click and write, dont works. you need copy and paste)
8. move terminal near the LOGIN button, move the mouse again slowly untill u think the cursor is over the button
9. now u are playing :)

its so annoying play conquer in wine cause the cursor appears and dissapears all the time, like a blink. but at least u can see it enough to click where u want.

PD: the interface is fucked up. some buttons are over others and it makes hard to click the ones of behind, but it is possible, just spend sometime trying it XD

Yeah I understod it the instructions were good :)
But the paste menu wouldn't show :/

try a bit down of the text box, i mean: do what i told you in the last reply and when no paste menu at right click, just keep rightclicking while u move the mouse to the botton of the screen. that will works :)

i have wine 0.9.24 and i think it fix the interface problems but i cant run the game :( i get an error that says "please set up your fonts to small" xD dunno how :D so dont upgrade to .24 cause u wont be able to play anymore
