How To Ask For Help (READ BEFORE POSTING!)

This is a thread created for my home in MZ, but I thought it would be fitting to post it here in the hopes that someone might actually read it, although it is doubtful given the learning curve that many people here exhibit XD.

Greetings, my name is Bishop, and I'll be talking you through the proper steps to post a mod request. It's really not that hard, I swear, and if you follow the steps listed in this guide, you might actually have your request answered, and best of all you might get help... Without any flaming... ok, maybe with a little flaming but at least it'll be answered right?

Preliminaries;
Ok, before we make a new topic let's see...
Did you check to see if a similar topic exists?
Did you use the search feature?
Did you google it?
If you did all these things and you still have no answer then we can move on and create the topic.

How to ask for help, a 3 step guide.

1.Making a Title- the title of your post should either ask the question you have directly, in a clear and concise manner, or have what the question is in regards to. I.e. if you are asking about using IDA, your title should be "Using IDA", or "Help Using IDA".

2.The Body of the Question- the question itself should have a few qualities. It should use clean, full ENGLISH or GERMAN sentences. No slang or abbreviations or leetspeak should be used. It makes you look like a jackass, and frankly, no one wants to help a jackass. The question should be worded clearly and it should address the question directly, providing as many details and as much specific information as possible. This makes it much easier for us to provide you with a useful, clean, simple solution to your problem. Finally you should include a thank you or a nice phrase at the completion of the post, thanking everyone in advance for their help, it makes them feel appreciated.

3.After- if someone helps you, THANK THEM DIRECTLY!

Follow those 3 simple rules, and your chances of actually getting some help with your issue skyrocket. Hope this helps you with any issues that may arise.

Comments, questions, criticism? You know how to reach me.

Yes I did search but not THOROUGHLY; only for about 30-45 minutes. That's still decent researching before I posted but nonetheless it is not what I consider thorough. I felt as though posting would be more convenient for the citizens of this forum and for me. They can share their knowledge with me and in return I share that knowledge out to others... Synergy :awesome:
