[HELP] Modifying Dungeon Music

06/29/2010 20:54 Aruin#1
I know I've seen a thread on it once before, but I can't remember where. And I've spent quite some time searching. So.

I seem to remember some sort of mod that allowed you to not only swap out the dungeon music for new music, but add new music to the game. As in, some dungeons reuse music, and this edit allowed you to create a soundset specifically for each dungeon, without overlap.

Can anyone help?

1. Go to your Mabi Directory (C:/Nexon/Mabinogi).
2. Go into the mp3 folder.
3. Get a music you want and rename it EXACTLY whats in the folder. Put it in and overwrite it (you might want a backup just incase).
4. And your done.

I'm not asking to change a particular music file - maybe I should have made that clearer...

There has to be some way of altering the way the dungeons operate - stopping them from sharing music files. Giving a different file the same name, say, Dungeon_04.mp3, would only change the content that was used - not where it was used.

each floor has its own song. so Dungeon_04.mp3 could be barri floor 2 and karu floor 3
and Dungeon_01.mp3 could be ably floor one and ciar floor 3 as to make each dungeon different i have yet to stumble on that. but for now no.

Before you get any funky ideas from looking at those xmls... no, you can't change what spawns or dungeon appearance. The former will do absolutely nothing, the latter will cause glitches and impassible walls.

Thanks, but I had no intention of getting any 'funky ideas' from the xmls. Since most of what goes on in a dungeon is either server-sided or server-checked, why bother?

...anyway, a thanks to kotarou3. I worked it out.
