since some ppl have problems with connecting and some probs with the gg im gonna post a short guide how u can setup Sro-Emu 0.1.3 and login with it. This should be an effective way to solve ur problems, like i did ^_^"
:: DOWNLOADS ::
First of all we need some files to run the emu. I found a emu on my hd, i dont know if this is the newest version but it works anyway ^^
:: Preperations ::
u have to do some preperations before u can launch the Emu and login.
- 1 -
Unpack the file Sro-Emu0.1.3.rar into ur game-dir, namly "C:\Program Files\Silkroad\" (or "C:\Programme\Silkroad" for german user).
Attention!
Before unpacking this file u should backup the sro_client.exe-File in ur game-dir. This file will be overwritten if u unpack the rar.

Install Abyss Web Server X1. This won't be such difficult i think :D
After finish installing start Abyss Web Server X1. Now u own ur own (virtual) Web Server ^^ The IP is 127.0.0.1 (for our user who knows more; this is the localhost ^_^)
The root of this server will be "C:\Programe Files\Abyss Web Server\htdocs\" ("C:\Programme..." for german user)

Unpack the nProtect-Files wich is contained in the SilkRoad_nProtect.rar into the root of the Abyss Server (the folder-dir i wrote above).
I don't know from wich version these files are or even if they are up to date....for me its working anyways ^_^'

now we gonna check if we did all the steps correctly.
(be sure the Abyss Server is running before click....)
Just click at this link: [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]
If u don't get any error-msg ("site can't be found" or such things) and u could see a Index-Page of SilkRoad, this means u did the steps correctly :D
If not just look at the dir where u have unpacked the nProtect-Files, otherwise check the Abyss Server settings :DD

Attention!
The following step could lead to errors after using the emu if u don't follow the instructions.
Click "Start" at ur taskbar and choose "Run".
Add this line into the inputfield: notepad C:\windows\system32\drivers\et c\hosts and hit the Enter-button.
A textfield should appear with some text and #-chars. U should be able to see the entry "127.0.0.1 localhost", don't ya?
Now copy the WHOLE text i added here and paste it under the entry i meantioned a line above.
Save this file and close it.

Start SroEmu wich is in ur game-dir (server.exe). The first thing u have to do is to create a new account.
For this just click "Tools" => "Accounts" => "Create account" and follow the instructions on ur screen.

Click at the button named "Hook silkroad" and after doing that click @ "Open silkroad".
Now u should see the Silkroad-Splash and the game should start.
Congratulations, u did it ^_^
