Increased sizeadd of stakes?

I have seen many bots out there for TG, but they seem to either attack 1 pole, or change the weapon. I can't find any stakes in the monsters.dat and was wondering if instead of changing the weapon, (which might screw me up outside of TG) to change the stakes so they can be attacked from further away.

Never been asked before AFAIK, worth a try?

Use my itemtype.dat editor. make yout 1 handed weapons range 4 or something, then you can attack the stake from inbetween the 2.
