help with my site.../source?

i am flatfile 5165 and i was wondering how to make it on my site say how many people are online at that precise moment, and i was also wondering how make it so people can change there passwords and stuff i can't find anything that works with flatfile and the first question i have no idea at all what its even called

For online players do a timer or datetime check that writes to an ini file with the online player count and then use php to read the file on the website.

For password change and everything you need to do a much more complex php script that checks if the account file exists, if the old password entered is valid and then changes it. I assume lotf uses encrypted passwords so you will need to convert the password encryption function to php for use on the site. Use the source as a reference for how the encryption works for passwords.
