Pretty good guide, but you translated it wrong. In the english windows, that's "Run..." not perform. Oh and doesn't everyone already know how to do that? O_o

For people on a router, this only changes the ip address your computer has on the network. It doesn't change the ip of the router, which is what is banned by TQ and other games. For example, this guide will change your ip address from: 192.168.1.100 to maybe 192.168.1.105. But the ip address that is delivered over the internet remains the same.

First of all you change the IP address through the modem not the router, as someone said before changing the IP address through the router is pointless because that's just a virtual IP address. Secondly, cable broadband is going to have a static(non changing) IP address while I believe DSL assigns you an IP address in a range. So technically you could release the IP address you've been banned with and get another one from the ISP if you have DSL.

if you want a new ip address.. go to your router and change its mac address.. new mac = new ip

this is true
when you ipconfig /renew only changes your local ip address relative to your network.
try visit whatismyip.com and renew and visit whatismyip.com again. it will tell you the same ip.

You can use a proxy to block your IP address but that'll bring your internet connection to a near standstill. There's really no good way of doing it.
