This is the only "hack" I've seen about window size.
[Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] It really just adjusts the gui overlay based on what I can see. Otherwise, the window size is 1024x768. If your desktop resolution is bigger, it's windowed. Same size, it's full screen. Smaller, it's cut off.
