i have the query written, data gets added. items don't show. i think the issue is the 'slot' value but not sure. any help would be appreciated. our server is supposed to go back live soon and we want to give people start items for their patience.

What do you mean? Why did you adjust the data for what purpose? The more info you can provide then better chances we may be able to help you.

Ah starting items I see. You could check the Binary Game Log file and see if it has thrown any meaningful error DB_Agent may have logged the error too though it's less likely unless it was an Stored Proc/DB issue.

i actually figured it out, thank you though. the issue was in the service, but a service restart only killed the server. a comp restart allowed all the services to run again AND applied the changes in game. don't know why but it worked
