As with every computer problem, Rule out viruses with the proper scans.

If your computer is shutting down or restarting by itself, that could point to a hardware problem like faulty fans (overheating), possibly a worn out power unit (running on reserves)... Or even a simple software conflict within your rig that's being pesky.

Your amount of ram and the other specs you mentioned having in your rig are more than adequate and shouldn't have anything to do with your problem.

Also if it's just "freezing", it could possibly be a connection issue, especially if you're online via a router, so you may want to troubleshoot there. You mentioned it restarts itself though so a loss of connection probably wouldn't cause that.

My first instinct based on what you said is that your rig is simply getting too hot, so check and make sure your fans are working.

with CO's memory leak history...
Interesting you mention that, can you elaborate...?

On the computer I'm on now, I have 512 ram and the strain on my resources usually amounts to the following: 7 Conquer clients consistantly (3 with Cotobo), a speedhack program, one instant messenger, three i.e. windows...

Normally I don't have any problems and everything runs smoothe. Once in awhile though (rarely, not often), I've noticed that Windows gives me a message stating that it's low on virtual memory and is making adjustments. So... Could this be the Conquer associated "memory leak" you mentioned?
