They added a new early boss to UD Stratholm in 1.11
Requirements:
- Rogue or Druid
- you can solo it with high end gear and a potion or get a friend. Easy with a mate
What it does:
- The new 'mini' boss (forgot her name... did it yesterday.. it is Bal**** or something) drops 2x Corruptor's Scourgestones every time and a blue caster necklace. That is 2x 50 Argent Dawn Rep + 25 for the kill. You can't get Argent Dawn Rep faster solo (since patch 1.11 AD Rep became very important)
Where it is:
- Enter Stratholme Undead side (where the Baron runs usually begin): Open gate, stealth and then you need to turn a sharp left after entering, walk along the wall for only a couple of seconds and then go through that gate which is not lowered. From inside there it is safe and you can see that 'marketplace' with many ghouls etc. There is the new boss patrolling (her name starts with Bal... or Bla.. iirc) You need to pull her to the corner where you came from as she casts heavy frostbolts if you are in line of sight. So: pull and run back to that very corner where you came from (no mobs there). When she turns around the corner hit her as hard as you can. Eaysy with a mate but can be done solo with very good gear and a potion as well. Enjoy 2x Corruptor's Scourgestones (don't forget to equip your Argent Dawn trinket before looting) and 1x blue drop.
The downside:
- You can not stealth through every time: It could be that the first mob pack at the gate spawned a ghoul near the gate or the left wall you need to hug. If a ghoul spawned there you need to reset as he sees through stealth and the whole mob pack attacks you (which you can't even defeat together with a mate): In that case you need to reset the instance (easy in 1.11) and enter again. You will immediately notice if only skeletons are near the gate or if a ghoul spawned as well.
They will probably fix this soon as it is too easy to farm Argent Dawn rep that way.
